I am a second-year Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) PhD student at Syracuse University. Originally from Pakistan, I did my undergrad at Istanbul Sehir University in Istanbul, Turkey before coming to SU. I double majored in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science and was in Turkey for five years from 2013 to 2018. Besides working towards my double major, I also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer for OakNorth Bank for a year between 2017 and 2018. During this time, I listened to my inner theoretician and decided to do a PhD in artificial intelligence. I'm currently interested in sequential learning and geometrical properties of neural loss landscapes as part of my reserch. As someone with a multidisciplinary background, I have an affinity for the topics around which the camp appears to be organized.
